Let's start with Chianti, perhaps the most famous Italian wine in the world.
It comes from Tuscany and is made mainly with the Sangiovese grape.
In Piedmont instead we find Barolo, called the king of Italian wines.
Barolo is a full-bodied red wine that must age at least three years.
Here is an interesting fact: in Italy there are more than three hundred native grape varieties.
No other country in the world has such a wine diversity.
But wine is not just a drink. It is part of culture.
In Italy wine accompanies every meal, every celebration, every gathering among friends.
Listen: in the countryside many families still make their own artisan wine.
The vendemmia, that is the grape harvest, is a collective and festive event.
If you visit Italy in autumn, look for a wine festival near you.
It is the most beautiful way to truly understand Italian wine culture.
