Il compleanno della zia

Today is the birthday of aunt Anna. She turns sixty years exactly. The family organizes a small party at home her, near to the park. She not wants a party big, only the relatives closest close to the heart. In all we are twelve people, nothing more.

My mother prepares the cake in the kitchen. It is a cake simple, with the cream and the strawberries fresh. On top there are six candles big and colorful, one for every ten years. Aunt Anna says that not wants sixty candles, because are too many and make too much smoke. My sister helps in the kitchen with the cream.

We arrive all at seven of evening. We bring flowers, a book new and a scarf of wool soft. The uncle Paolo brings a bottle of wine white cold. We eat, drink and talk of the past together. Aunt Anna tells a story of when she was a child in Sicily. All laugh at her stories.

After the dinner, we light the candles on the cake. All sing together Many wishes to you. Aunt Anna smiles and blows out the candles in a single breath. She cuts the first slice of cake for the nephew most small. It is a party simple, but very beautiful for all the family. Also Olo, the cat of aunt, is happy.
